Today (May 8), the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WB HS) is set to announce the Uccha Madhyamik (Class 12) results. Students can check their results on the official websites wbchse.wb.gov.in and wbresults.nic.in.
Here’s how to check the WB HS 12th Result 2024:
- Start by visiting the official website- wbchse.wb.gov.in or wbresults.nic.in.
- Register with your contact number and email id.
- Click on the designated board exam result link.
- Select the board on the next window.
- Enter your roll number and registration number.
- Once the results are announced, they will be delivered to your contact number and email ID.
In addition to the exam results, students can also download their mark sheets. These will include subject-wise marks, pass percentage, and qualifying status. To pass, students need a minimum of 33% marks in each subject and overall.
In the 2023 exams, the pass percentage was 89.25%. In the previous year, out of 7,44,655 registered students, 6,36,875 passed. Boys had a pass percentage of 90.19%, girls 86.9%, with an overall pass rate of 88.44%.
In 2021, due to rising Covid-19 cases, the West Bengal government canceled class 10 and 12 exams. A special evaluation criterion was used, resulting in a 97.69% pass rate among the 8,19,202 candidates. Both boys and girls had a pass percentage of 97.70%.
