Five inspirational Indian schools have secured their spots in the top 10 shortlists for the annual World’s Best School Prizes, organized in the UK. These awards celebrate schools worldwide for their immense contributions to societal progress.
Among the contenders, two schools from Madhya Pradesh and one each from Delhi, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu were announced last week. These schools are competing across various categories for a share in the USD 50,000 prize fund. The five categories include Community Collaboration, Environmental Action, Innovation, Overcoming Adversity, and Supporting Healthy Lives. Founded by UK-headquartered T4 Education in response to COVID-19, these prizes aim to give a platform to schools making significant impacts in and beyond their classrooms.
“Indian schools like Government CM RISE Model HSS, Jhabua; Ryan International School, Vasant Kunj; G H S S Vinoba Ambedakar Nagar, Ratlam; Kalvi International Public School, Madurai; and Mumbai Public School L K Waghji International (IGCSE) are not only fostering strong cultures but are also unafraid to innovate. They demonstrate the profound difference schools can make in countless lives. Schools everywhere can now learn from their solutions, and it’s time governments do so as well,” said Vikas Pota.
