The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is actively preparing to announce the Class 10 and Class 12 results soon. It is expected that the CBSE Class 10th Result 2024 and CBSE Class 12th Result 2024 will likely be unveiled during the first week of May. Students can access their results through various channels, including the board’s official website results.cbse.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in.

In addition to the official websites like cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, and results.cbse.nic.in, students can also access the CBSE 10th and 12th results through alternative platforms such as digilocker.gov.in and results.gov.in.

Meanwhile, amidst the anticipation surrounding the CBSE result date, a fake circular containing misleading information has been circulating on social media platforms. The board’s Public Relations Officer (PRO) dismissed the claims, affirming that the results will not be disclosed between 1 pm and 3 pm on May 1 as suggested by the fake circular.

Approximately 39 lakh candidates registered for the CBSE Board exams in 2024, covering both Class 10 and 12.

Last year, the CBSE Board Result 2024 was declared on May 12, and this year’s results are expected to follow a similar pattern. In 2023, out of the 2,184,117 students who registered for the exams, 2,165,805 students took the exam. Among them, 2,016,779 students successfully passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 93.12 percent. Comparatively, in 2022, 107,689 students, constituting 5.14% of the total examinees, were placed in the compartment exam. However, this number increased in 2023, with a total of 134,774 students, accounting for 6.22 percent of the examinees, being placed in compartments.

To check their results, students should follow these steps:

  • Visit the official CBSE website.
  • Click on the link for CBSE Board Result 2024.
  • Log in using their roll number or registration number.
  • Submit the required details.
  • The CBSE Class 10 or Class 12 results will then be displayed on the screen.
  • Download and print the result for future reference.

Regarding the minimum passing percentage for CBSE boards, students need to achieve a minimum passing mark of 33% in each subject and overall. CBSE has opted not to publish any merit lists to discourage unhealthy competition among students.

The CBSE Class 10 exams were conducted from February 15 to March 13, while those for Class 12 began on February 15 and concluded on April 2. To stay informed about the result announcement, students should regularly check the board’s official website and its social media pages for updates.
