The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has commenced the fresh admission cycle for undergraduate, postgraduate, and other programs for the July 2024 academic year. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the official websites — ignouiop.samarth.edu.in and ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. The last date to apply for various programs at IGNOU is June 30.
IGNOU offers certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas, postgraduate diplomas, and degrees. Previously, the registration deadline was extended to May 15.
How to Apply for IGNOU Admissions 2024
- Visit the official website — ignouiop.samarth.edu.in or ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
- Click on the new registrations and create your account.
- Enter the required credentials.
- Fill out the application form. Save, submit, and pay the fees.
- Download and save the application form for future reference.
IGNOU provides over 290 UG, PG, PG diploma, diploma, certificate, and awareness programs through ODL and online modes. Students can enroll in certificate, diploma, and degree formats at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The university’s open and distance learning modes offer a wide range of courses in arts, commerce, management, science, social sciences, languages, fashion, tourism, information technology, and many other fields.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for UG courses, students must have completed 10+2 from a recognized educational board with a minimum of 50 percent marks. For PG courses, candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant stream from a recognized university with at least 50 percent marks.
Fees
Candidates must pay a registration fee of Rs 300 for all UG courses, which can be paid using a debit/credit card or net banking. PG course fees range from Rs 8,400 to Rs 45,000.
