The National Testing Agency (NTA) is soon expected to release the admit cards for the  NEET UG 2024. Once released, candidates who have registered for the undergraduate entrance exam will be able to download their admit cards by entering their login details. 

The exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 5, 2024. The results will be announced on June 14, 2024. 

The exam will be held from 2 pm to 5:20 pm. Candidates appearing in the exam should reach the examination Centre on time. The Centre will be opened two hours before the commencement of the test. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam Centre after 1:30 pm. 

An official notification by NTA reads, “Candidates must ensure that they leave home well in advance considering all facts like traffic, location of the Centre, weather conditions, etc. Candidates are expected to take their seats immediately after the opening of the examination hall.”

As candidates gear up for NEET UG 2024, it’s crucial to understand and follow the exam day guidelines to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience. Here’s a comprehensive overview of the important guidelines for NEET UG 2024 exam day:

  1. Admit Card: On the day of the exam, candidates must carry a printed copy of their NEET UG 2024 admit card.   2. Identity Proof: Along with the admit card, candidates are required to carry a valid photo identity proof. Acceptable identity proofs typically include Aadhar card, PAN card, passport, or driver’s license. The name and details on the identity proof should match those mentioned on the admit card.
  3. COVID-19 Safety Protocols: In light of the ongoing pandemic, NEET UG 2024 exam centers will implement strict COVID-19 safety measures. Candidates must wear face masks throughout the exam duration and maintain social distancing norms. Hand sanitizers will be available at the exam center, and candidates are encouraged to use them frequently.
  4. Prohibited Items: Certain items are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall, including electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, etc. Candidates are advised not to carry any unauthorized materials to avoid any complications or penalties.
  5. Reporting Time: It’s important to reach the exam center well before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card. Latecomers may not be allowed to enter the exam hall, leading to disqualification.
  6. Dress Code: While there is no specific dress code mentioned for NEET UG 2024, candidates are advised to dress comfortably and modestly. Avoid wearing clothes with large pockets or excessive accessories.
  7. Instructions by Invigilators: Candidates must follow the instructions given by the exam invigilators without any deviation. Any attempt to indulge in malpractice or violate exam rules will lead to immediate disqualification.
  8. Exam Duration and Sections: NEET UG 2024 consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology). The exam duration is usually three hours. Candidates should manage their time effectively to attempt all sections within the stipulated time.
  9. After the Exam: Once the exam is over, candidates must leave the exam center promptly. Avoid discussing the exam questions or answers with fellow candidates to maintain the integrity of the examination process.
  10. Result Declaration: The results of NEET UG 2024 will be announced on the official website within a specified timeframe. Candidates should regularly check the website for updates regarding result declaration and further admission procedures.
